yeah i'm so done now. all through beta you couldn't do delta updates(it's only beta, don't worry) and now even with the game released you STILL can't figure out delta updates? seriously how inexperienced are these devs? not all of us have unlimited bandwidth and you expect us to download 20GB every single time you do an update? not gonna happen, refunded requested and if it's denied i'll issue a charge back.

Ya' know, if some of you would take the time to hit the news link, check the twitter, your insider email, etc. You would know why things are the way they are...wait, I apologize, you are a Founder, you already know this! My bad.@kelcior it started at 2GB which i thought was the update size then i came back an hour later and it was at 17GB which of course was when i realized it was downloading the entire game. i'm already over my limit for the month so this is going to cost me extra. of course that's not Rare's fault but it is their fault that they STILL can't do a simple patch. this update didn't even change much either which is just adding insult to injury. there is absolutely NO excuse for not being able to give us a simple patch. it's also pretty clear that they will keep doing things this way which means every single update they ever do will require a full reinstall
@anndy578 It's a redownload of the client to fix various issues, you can't just do a simple update with something like this besides like many have said Rare was pretty clear you'd be redownloading the game you're at fault for not watching the video they put out explaining everything.
@ii-axelforce-ii bunch of bs. it was the same way during beta and the same excuses. this update was only small bug fixes so there's no excuse. every other dev out there does patches just as fast or even faster and they don't need you to completely reinstall. this is either pure laziness or due to the windows store being c**p. either way it's inexcusable
to make matters worse you can't even go to a friends house with an external hardrive to download the game which again is something you can do with literally any other game

I just told you the only way to push the patch out faster was basically a re-release of the game with the updated files. If they were to do it in the generic way theyd need to submit a form and wait for it to get approved size is irrelevant

@anndy578 Yeah there's no such thing as different engines or the fact this game might work differently than another? If you're going to continue to call everything people say to you BS without simply listening then just get off the forums or learn to have a discussion.

Yeah that wonderful thing that games are built upon is actually (very surprising so listen carefully) IS DIFFERENT in games and some people EVEN code differently!!!!! That's too bad about your bandwidth but you actually didn't need social media at all....it is literally linked on front page of the Sea of Thieves website.

The response to every criticism going back to the first Beta has always been 'Don't worry! This won't be the case in the future!'.
During the first beta it was "don't worry about the lack of content, we've more planned since this is only a beta", which then led to stress tests where nothing changed, and then the final beta where virtually nothing changed, and then the launch happens and low and behold virtually nothing has been changed. Slap a $60 price tag on to the game and these early access-esque excuses get pretty old pretty quick.
