    Hello Rare,

    I apologies if this is the wrong area in the forum to post this, but please could you allow xbox users to connect a keyboard for the use of typing.

    It would be very helpful if I could type to communicate with near by pirates, like you can if you are playing on PC.

    It would also be beneficial for PC players too, as they could commutate with Xbox players.

    I mainly play in a party with friends so cannot commutate to near by pirates, even if I was in game chat chances our they are in a part too or just don’t have a mic.

    I’ve been asking for this across several posts. I’ve yet to hear an official response. Please Rare just let us know if it’s still on the way.

    I would really love the ability to free type on Xbox as well. It would be so convenient for those times I'm unable to use my mic.

    If you bring up the Xbox keyboard does it still not work? I haven't tried but I have a keyboard as well. Granted, this is still more time consuming.

    I haven't been home from work yet to try it since the patch today but, just typing on a USB keyboard doesn't work and there is no "talk" button (T) like you have on PC so you can't just open a text field and use on screen keyboard either. Xbox players can see the free chat spoken by PC players but are unable to type themselves.

    Maybe the patch today changed that, eager to go home and see.

    Being able to use the Xbox chatpad would also be cool.

    Tried my USB keyboard after the update, still can't free type :( You can use the number keys tho to switch weapons and spacebar to jump.

    @the-r***y-duck this really should already be in the game as it is cross platform and pc players have such an advantage over controllers making it almost impossible to win a 1v1 against them.

    Come on Rare please give us keyboard chat functionality on Xbox. I know you’re busy but it’s already in place on win10. Just bring it over ❤️ @Rare-Employee
