I'm probably about 12 hours late with this reply (I least I hope you're not still looking ;) ) but just incase this clue comes up again there is a path in the south west of Crook's Hollow that passes between two large boulders that have crabs claws (pincers) painted on them. You'll need to go there, equip your lantern and "hold it up" (LT on Xbox).
I usually use this map to help find the reference points for riddles. Typically the 2 pincers that I'm talking about are not marked on this map but it's still a pretty useful resource.
