I just spent the last 30 minutes completing an order of souls voyage. I've been playing this game solo unless I have friends online because most random groups I've been added to have proved to be useless if your trying to accomplish anything other then getting lost and dealing with random annoying players dropping anchor for no reason and deciding to attack other ships even though they've already shot all the cannonballs on the ship out to sea. So anyways... Playing solo is where server disconnects get really annoying. Like I said here I am on my sloop. I vote to take on the order of souls voyage. It's got three targets on three separate islands. I go to my map locate and mark those islands and plan my voyage so I can get to each island and back to the outpost the quickest. I raise anchor and I'm on my way. I get to the first island. Killing skeletons until to my surprise two boss skeletons rise up from the sand. Cool! I kill both grab the first skull and put it on my ship and drop off my other random supplies. Go back grab the second skull and supplies and back to the ship again. Now I'm on to my second island. A short hop and I'm there. I see a glimmer and go investigate. It's a message in a bottle! Sweet a map that has 6 x's that not far from the last island I'm going to. I wack away and the skeletons until the main one rises up kill him with ease and I'm back to my ship with the skull. I'm off to my last island and about to complete this voyage. Get to the last island make waste collect my skull and back on the ship. Voyage complete!! But wait! I've got a map with 6 treasures a short hop away. Let's go! I hop on over and start digging. One down and back on the ship! I know have 4 skulls and one treasure! Back to the island and find the second treasure! On the ship it goes. Back for the third. And it's safe on my ship. Now I'm back on the island to get the fourth treasure of the 6 that are there. I'm checking my map looking for the exact spot to dig and I've almost narrowed down where I need to dig. I'm excited this is going to be one hell of a voyage! Then out of nowhere the most evil of monsters known to the sea of thieves appears! A loading screen! It appears and I'm caught off guard. My sword and gun are useless in this battle with one fell swoop I've been logged out of the game. Server says I've been disconnected from Xbox live even though I'm still logged in.. Hopeful if I log back in real quick my ship full of loot will still he there. No, it won't be there. Beacause I've been playing solo and when I got logged out the session closed no saved information for technically completing the voyage short of turning it in. Wasted time and a brand new empty ship is all I was left with when I logged back in. This is not the first time this has happened to me, however it might be the last time it happens to me. I'm mad that I lost 60 in purchasing this game and I lost my virtual loot and I've lost countless hours dealing with random server issues. Why did they even have alfa tests then beta tests and scale tests? This game should still be in Beta. Delay the launch date if your game doesn't work. Fix this! At very least recognize that I've spent time completing quest you should put in the time to make sure if IF the game logs me off my work is saved.
