Hi.
Today I was wanting to land at an island. I saw another sloop approach and I warily circled the island. After about ten minutes of the other sloop not doing anything, I stopped close by, thinking I was safe. Stupid presumption! I heard some obvious swimming sounds but ignored them. STUPID AGAIN!!! Another player boards my ship and instantly kills me with one shot of his bbus. I find myself on the ghost ship and respawn back on my ship right behind the thief who was steering my ship. I drew my sword. Too slow!! He turned around and one-shot kills me with his bbus again. xD
Before anybody starts getting hysterical and shouting MATE, IT WAS A GRIEFER!!! No, I didn't class it as a griefer. It was simply another player who took advantage of my naivety. I should have, on hearing the swimming sounds, took out my pistol, aimed it at the top of the ladder and waited for his head to pop up. Or, I should have jumped into the water and swam to his ship whilst he was swimming to mine. xD
Anyway, on the second visit to the Ghost Ship I opted to scuttle my ship. No treasure on it other than two empty coops. This got me to thinking. If the player was still on my ship when I scuttled it from the Ghost Ship, would he suddenly find my ship sinking under his feet?
