So this may or may not have been brought up but this has been a bug since the beta. Your weapons do not save upon logging in/out. It gets sort of old having to swap out the weapons I start out with for the ones I actually use during a play session.
Every other gear slot on your pirate is saved/retained between sessions of play. Why would weapons operate any differently? Why would my Blunderbus/Pistol combo get swapped for a sniper/sword combo?
Furthermore weapon skins don't seem to be saving for some reason. I've had it happen multiple times now where I am playing, not engaging in any menu or item changes and then all the sudden I switch to my blunderbus (Weapon slot 1) and all the sudden I have the default skin on it. This only seems to happen to weapon slot 1. I have not had it happen to weapon slot 2 yet at least.
These problems are more frustrations than anything but the "Logging into random weapons" problem, bug or 'feature' has been around since the beta. I like this game a lot and am having good fun with it. It's just got some frustrating jagged edges that keep catching my attention in all the wrong ways.
