Myself and another sloop both unloaded 50+ cannon balls into a single kraken tentacle off the coast of Snake Island and it took no damage, did not attack us, did not summon other tentacles. The black water is there and so is the music but this lone mouth/grabber tentacle with apparently infinite health is the only part of the kraken that spawned.
