I like that there are outfits but they are way too expensive for the current state of the game plus they are only cosmetic. With gear that is unlocked only by reaching a rank with an alliance should provide full set buffs and debuffs. This will lead to a 'Capture System'. All gear sets will give a bonus towards a particular voyage while if captured will give an even larger bonus to the kidnappers (to a certain maximum) while they are their voyage with a match gear set. To find the players with matching voyages is to change the flag to the flag symbol based on the voyage.
For example, say someone is on a Gold Hoarder voyage. Flag on the ship indicates it by turning into the Key Symbol. The player has a full set of GH gear (low rank) that gives them a 10% to GH voyages but when captured gives the kidnappers a 15% towards their GH voyages.
In order for it to count for the kidnappers:
- The kidnappers must be currently on a GH voyage. (Or any voyage must be currently active. Not before.)
- The capture's ship must be still floating but can be boarded and looted.
- Getting captured cancels current the voyage for the abductee.
- When the voyage is complete (which needs to be fixed to completion once turned in) the kidnappers get the bonus; abductees gets nothing and is set free to return to the ship.
This will add a goal to unlocking these outfits and capturing would add a bit more social interaction. Just like animal crates add a rope with the same function to other players.
