The Mrs and I both play sea of thieves on our own xboxes, every so often we go into a game together and we cant hear each other on gamechat, meaning that we have to go into a party or reload into another server (which you can guess isn't great). Sometimes it starts out fine and then we suddenly can't hear each other. We usually play with her brother who's playing on his PC and he can hear us both, but we just can't hear each other. Anybody else had anything like this?
Gamechat randomly not working.

i play on PC and my ingame Voice chat doesn´t work also.
Any Tipps?
I checked all settings including mute channels.

@saracens-lament I was on PC and then switched to xbox last night and gamechat was not working on either platform. My friend on his PC was able to speak for me then about 20 minutes into playing his gamechat went out as well. His gamechat icon would appear above his head with a strikethrough, where as mine would not even appear when i would use push to talk.
@seminolefire hmm... Sounds like its not just us then. Thought I'd best put up a thread in case it's a bug that needs fixing.
@saracens-lament Yes it is very frustrating in a game that is co-op and communications dependent. I think I will redownload discord to have comms with my buddies. Hope they fix this soon!

Same Problem. Ingame-chat not working on Windows 10, no hearing others and not getting heard by others.Using Discord now as a workaround. Ticket was closed with the stupid useless FAQ pointer "allow mic", that DOES NOT FIX THE PROBLEM of not having ANY voice chat at all.
Reviving because I have the same issue I will be in game chat and I can’t hear anyone but occasionally I can through my tv making my headset half useless. Also I’ve noticed when I am in party chat I can see other players talking in game but I can not hear them, BUT also sometimes I can hear them it’s just random and inconsistent. I don’t know if I’m making sense but i’ve Been having game chat issues since launch. So sorry pirates if you want to be friends :( pew pew pew

None of the faq tips make any difference. I see other players talking, there textbubbles are crossed out.
