This post is not a rant but a simply observation that sword fighting, particularly for pvp ,becomes really clunky, since fighting with sword require you to go really close and if you don't get one shotted by a shotgun you often end up clipping into the enemy body making him disappear which is really annoying. While i understand why there should be no collision for teammates because will make navigation a pain with constant body blocks i think adding collision for enemy and lowering the damage of the shotgun in a way that doesn't one shot you really close, i know it's unrealistic, would value sword fight a lot more and make combat a bit more skillfull.

I do find it pretty annoying clipping through a skeleton while trying to block. I like the simplicity of the sword combat, but its really only for when both players run out of ammo or you rush the enemy after they miss. Of course... they can back away just as fast as you can rush forward. But skeletons? They auto-lock onto you with the shotgun and you can't dodge it. I would like to see some tweaks in the AI's targeting and the collision but I'm fine with PvP at the moment. If anything, allow players to run faster with the sword compared to those holding guns.@mrnudderbutter you might be able to dodge it if your timing is really good and you use the actual dodge mechanic. A lot of people don't even know that exists. If you're one of the ones that aren't aware of the dodge mechanic, simply hold block with your sword, then jump in any direction.
@mrnudderbutter Yeah i'm not saying pvp is bad just that is a waste having some cool mechanics on the sword and the """meta""" is jumping around with a shotgun. For skeletons try jumping above them the ai get confused and if you get the 3rd hit you stun them.

I was murdered by one when I was climbing the ladder back onto my boat to get more bananas, at this point I'm ready to join our Skeleton overlords if it grants laser accuracy with every weapon.
Also in terms of Skeles, you can climb onto some rocks and they will; assuming they don't have blunderbusses/pistols/snipers will just all group up around the rock and stare at you hungrily giving a friend a chance to either obliterate them with a cannon shot or sneak up and stab them all in their non-existent kidneys.
