If I uninstall game files from my HDD and re-install to SSD, will I lose game progress? The reason I want to know is that I'm hoping to see an increase in FPS as I seem stuck at 30FPS currently. I have a GTX 1080 card with 8GB VRAM, so I would think my rig can easily )))handle 60FPS. Haven't overclocked anything yet.

Your pirate is saved in the "cloud", not in your PC. You won't lose anything.
@budskie-downlow it is more than likely in your video settings, if you are not getting over 30, it sounds like vsync is locked to 30, which would not change by moving to another drive.
