Why you should only blame yourself if you're unhappy with the game!

  • I will keep this short and simple since some you apparently have very limited attention spans.

    1. This is a service. Like any other service it is optional and does not require you to purchase it to use or enjoy your PC/XBOX. I understand you spent $60 dollars on something you feel isn't worth it but once again that was your decision. Almost every critique of this game has been around since way before launch day. If you had concerns then maybe you should have waited until you were able to redbox/gamepass before purchasing instead of gambling on those issues being handled and then turning around and blaming Rare when the gamble did pay off.

    2. It has been announced since at least the last E3 that this game would be included on Gamepass day 1. I have wasted $60 on many an AAA title (Last 3 COD offerings immediately come to mind) so when I read that this was going to be on gamepass day 1 I was elated because I knew for around 10 bucks + 14 days free I could give the game a good run through before I decide to purchase. The preorder bonuses for this game were cosmetic and quite frankly IMHO not worth the gamble of paying the full retail when I could easily try it for 10. If you felt different once again that was your gamble so don't be mad at Rare because the gamble didn't pay off in your mind.

    3. If you are unhappy about the PVP aspect that has been something that has repeatedly been said is a core mechanic of the game. It really isn't a problem unless you make it one by trying to play it like a FPS. Situational awareness, Stealth and Planning are all key elements to the game. Removing these would make the game basically no mans sky with islands.

Take a little personal responsibility and own up to the fact that you made a mistake purchasing a game you had issues with before it was even released.

  • Don't get me wrong. I agree with every point you made. I love the game, and love the gameplay and concept. But still. I think a lot of people are unhappy with the game because the launch day was a total sh*tshow. Nothing worked as intended. My 30k gold were wiped. I was a big big fan of the game but i understand the problems people have with it, especially that it was totally broke yesterday. If they don't fix that in the next few days I will stop playing the game, and i totally love it, but I won't play a broken game.

Edit: But still people have every right to be upset.

  • @jester776 People have every right to be upset over bugs, not being able to play, etc.

Not for the game being PVP though.

  • @dustofthedeath Last i checked Rare didnt throw our money on the ground after launch and completely shut down servers for good... your point is way off base and makes no sense. Should people be entitled to refunds if they choose? yes. Are people overreacting to an initial release of a game? yes. Have you ever played a crazy popular game on launch? probably not. World of warcraft, Overwatch, Dark and Light, ARK are just some games i can think of off the top of my head that had these same issues.

Many people unlike the ones complaining understand this and wait until the day after release to play it instead of that day/night. [mod removed]

  • @bi66er-ji66er care to elaborate?

  • Locking this thread as it has become very negative and violates our code.
