So I complained about this over the betas and it's apparently still an issue at launch. Sometimes when you are near an outpost, your ship randomly sinks. It doesn't matter if it has ever touched a cannonball or is completely dry of even rainwater. It just sinks in less than 20 seconds and cannot be bailed. Nobody voted to scuttle, no rocks were hit. Boat just sinks.
I was willing to just ignore it in the beta, but this time it happened in the worst possible circumstances. We had spent the past hour trying to clear a skeleton fortress between lazy jerks trying to rob us on the last wave. We finally beat off all the griefers, collected probably 15-20k in rewards, went to a completely deserted outpost.
We were coming near the outpost when another ship spawned in next to us. Our boat instantly sank, dumping our treasure in the water. They gleefully shot us in the back as we glitched around doing cartwheels in our boat that should not be sinking and is now rolling over.
Some jerks just got the loot we sweated for, because of a sloppy bug that literally gutted us in front of them when they logged in. Don't know what else to say besides a string of expletives and complaints about developers who just download Unreal toolkit and click some drop-downs, without actually knowing how to code. Seriously how can you launch with that bug, while making almost daily videos patting yourself on the back for reinventing the wheel?
