How do I get my money back?

  • I'd rather get my money back at this point and buy a game that actually works so how do I go about it?

  • Hello there SumDude! Looks like you are somewhat new to the Sea of Thieves forums! Welcome :)

    I said this to a lot of people, and you are not the only one. I would like to state that I stay on top of Sea Of Thieves, and information about the game. But I would like you to take consideration that this is just the launch for a game. Please keep in mind that they WILL fix/patch these problems. A recent Twitter post from Rare (makers of Sea of Thieves) stated that the understand that there is problems with the current game, and are trying their best to fix them ASAP.

    To answer the question you may have, if you bought it digital you CAN NOT refund the game. But I just want you to understand that these problems will be fixed. Thanks for you consideration. :)

    If your friend got a refund why are you asking us how to get a refund, go ask your friend how he got his refunded and there is your answer.

    Pay no attention to him. He's trying to ward or discourage you from getting a refund. Not sure why some people are still hopelessly hopeful and doling out promises on behalf of Rare, when no one on the staff side can confirm them.

    Call XBL support and ask for a refund there, first. If they refuse, call your financial institution and file a charge back. There are digital copy refunds on XBL purchases. XBL confirmed this in a post before. If they are refusing to uphold their own policies and you feel like you were sold a product that was misrepresented, you are within your rights to seek a refund of cost through your FI, against the will of XBL/M$.

  • I don't blame you OP. When you release a product it needs to be working 100% plain and simple. There is no excuse . I hate when game companies do this also they had how many beta's with US guinea pigs testing for them
