Hello fellow swashbucklers i have become increasingly irritated over the past 2 days not only because north america launch was a farce due to the unexpected influx of game pass users who never even preordered while i did, but also because on the SECOND night they throttle servers down and essentially screw me out of playing for a second night. I think rare honestly owes us some kind of in game reward or something for all this nonsense. If ya feel the same comment or upvote please. (Nothing against xbox game pass users but to pay for a game only to be this messy on startup is frustrating.)
Losing patience..
@j3wmerican so the over 200$ i paid for my game pass and never been rewarded with a new game on release date means people who spent 50 bucks shoyld be able to play before me? cause they went about getting this game in a different way? naw dont see it like that. it just an influx of new players. these delays were expected.
The age was mentioned to point out the frustration and patience a child would have for this issue........
;)
@inebriatti for them to throw that in game pass last minute is entirely rediculous because you pay for essentially microsofts version of blockbuster isnt my problem. Buy the game or figure on possibly unexpected influxs from such deals like xbox game pass giving sea of thieves. They knew i was coming you just decided to download it as far as they are concerned for server data and startups for a game thats INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT dont ya think lol? Estimates of what to expect usually help not randomly downloaded influxs of just curious players. Like i said im mad rare didnt anticipate this i dont blame you. Read more carefully.
@inebriatti as am i. Ive played for ages and for this to be happening opening nights is insanely annoying.
@inebriatti who was it released for today i live in the usa and no country recieved it this late. Your argument is invalid dude lol
@inebriatti australia is near the same time zone as new zealand and the twitter told us canada rolled out same day as usa so try again broseph.
Hey everyone. I think some of you need to check your expectations. Most significant online-only games have server issues the first day or two (and some for more than a week). If you are playing an online-only game, I'm going to go out on a limb and assume you are aware of this. It's not a new challenge that developers are facing. Rare is working hard to resolve the issues, but these things do take time and it's not always as simple as just adding more servers. Whether you bought the game or are paying for Game Pass doesn't grant you any more than anyone else. Demanding free stuff also doesn't help anything.
It's highly likely Rare will do something for players to reward them for their patience. In the mean time, posting complaint after complaint about servers being down just distracts from the real point of the forums... community discussion and how the game can be improved and grow during its life.
@alymon They wont do anything, just like most significant game makers.
It is naïve to think they will.
They will say something like, "this is normal" and go on their way.
It is a matter of online traffic, the more you need, the higher the cost.
The reason not everyone can play is because they're bargaining with internet providers for cost of bandwidth usage for the game.@j3wmerican said in Losing patience..:

That's not uncommon. I'm not sure where you get "just like most significant game makers". GTA did it for it's online, most MMORPGs have done it. It happens.
It's not naive to think they will. There's plenty of historical evidence to support it happening. Just like there's certainly plenty of times where it hasn't happened. It's merely an opinion either way.
@yourlifewizard i played wow for 8 years vanilla until pandaria release. Even blizzard apologised and gave some kind of perk for major hiccups like this. Like i said im angry they were ill prepared it isnt a blame game.
@eph1zul who was the one who decided to raid on kil jaeden haha jk but nah i mean like server side crashes etc back when gms appeared in person l**o
