    Will those of us that have the Xbox game pass be able to download the game before release?

    It will be available to download at release so 00.01GMT Tuesday March 20th
    It isn't added to the library until then, so no way of pre downloading.

    @xx7hefiremanxx No one knows for sure yet. They are working on it but apparently it is pretty complicated. There might be a workaround though. I think you can pre-order the game in full, get it pre-loaded, then cancel the pre-order. That way the data is on your hard drive ready to be unlocked once the license from Game Pass shows up. Note that I am not sure how to actually do this myself though since I have not tried it that way.

    Yeah I did get it for this Game and State of Decay 2.

    The Beta was Awesome!
    I also Bought a Sea of Thieves Controller yesterday :)
    Takes bucket of Cash and tosses it in the Ocean* haha.

    @weedstar-deluxe Go to xbox marketplace and see what they say about release time, some people have different time since its rolling release.

    Just to confirm, the steps above regarding pre-order and cancel do work.

    I pre-ordered (on a card with insufficient funds so definitely wasn't charged), cancelled the pre-order via this link and the game is still installing.
