Full of Trolls

@bhalucard85 a PvE server will be a great idea for dealing with trolls because it will attract all of them so that they can grief the weakest players and the normal servers will be free!

it's these people that ruin a game. A lot of games have this problem one of the solutions is a progressive system another is a PvE server for the people that don't want to deal with the trolls. Ultimately it's these trolls that will kill this game if left unchecked. Please do something before it's to late.

Middle earth is full of trolls too and Bilbo do ok and hes like 3 foot tall.

@bhalucard85 I would welcome a mechanic that would eliminate town farming. Spending an hour or two farming and having your loot plucked at the finish line is a good way to frustrate players.

@mcbomb1234 you need to scout your outposts properly before landing. Pull up close but not close enough to be boarded, do not stop moving, circle the Outpost at this "safe" distance and use your spyglass to scout for pirates... If you see anyone just sail to the next Outpost. Outposts are, I think, meant to be sketchy though I don't think camping outposts will actually turn out to be a profitable tactic once we all get the hang of scouting our ports.

I would welcome a mechanic that allowed people to open thier eyes and use a spyglass, then allowed them to not be sucked into a outpost with another player.

@racmop yes there a minority right now but just like team fortress 2. they start as the minority and if left unchecked grow into this thing that's completely out of control. If nothing is done to some how give the players that are actually trying to progress in one way or another an advantage or make a PvE server to eliminate the problem then Trolls will be the only ones playing eventually.

What is griefing in Sea of Thieves

Most things people consider trolling in this game just isn't so. Some members have posted a few good stories and tips on how to avoid misfortune.

I firmly believe that the community as a whole is better than many believe it to be based on the beta tests and that time will prove a satisfying, enjoyable game where unpleasant ( Note, not saying PvP, unpleasant as in griefing and / or racial / sexual slurs ) will be a very minimal part of the experience.

Whether I be in a galleon or a sloop or on my legs, the Platypus shall always defend other ships from aggressors.

Omg! Hahahaha hahahaha you just made my day!

I couldn't agree more with you. They should come up with a system like in GTA 5 when you can play on "passive mode". Trolls can still try to screw you over but can't damage you/steal your stuff. They would basically be like ghosts fooling around on your ship.

I've been experiencing this issue yesterday while doing a fortress with 2 friends. We spent a good hour and a half killing waves of skeletons when some jerks came out of nowhere to steal the loot out of our hands. We tried to talk to them and said we could share even tho we did all the work but they laughed at us and called us f*****s. They sank our ship and thought they had won but we spawned back to a near outpost and sneaked our way back to them. By the time they realised we were back, we were able to sink their ship and kill the final boss from the fortress. We took the most expensive loot to go sell in a hurry but they catch up with us and tried to sink us again while laughing and calling us names. In the end we were able by the fraction of a second to sell the most expensive stuff we worked so h*****n getting and found another lobby.

It'a just too bad those lowlife s***s are filling the seas in this game. They're gonna kill the game for sure.

Unplayable troll garbage tired of getting ripped off

You are an idiot to pull any sort of real life experience from a movie. This game is full of trolls, if you disagree you are part of the issue. This game has no incentive to play nice. Yet, gives the PVP people the ability to cheat, lie, and troll you to the point they kill the game, the game dev defend this action because people think that gamers want to play a game where losing 3-4 hours of game play is something enjoyable. This game like all games feeds the troll children and starves out the fun of a game and kills it. So, you want to have fun with games, make it where they have to fight you at sea or on non outpost islands... instead of them waiting at ports to take out the people just playing.
