    long before sea of thieves in the early days of computer video games, there were to sea ship games, were you could battle , there was Broadsides by SSI games came out in 1983.
    and then there was the game Old Ironsides that came out in 1982 for the Apple II computer.

    in the more recent decade there have been games like Age of Sail and the recent Naval Action , all have romanticizes the tall ships of the past .
