There's a chest to the left of the shipwright which I thought was what you used to change your hull, sails, etc... but you can't interact with it. Is this a bug or is there some other way to equip your items.

This feature is not currently in the game. As per the release notes for this build:

They don't work yet! They will do on release!
After opening a Skeleton Fort Vault, some players may find that it is empty. We're testing a fix that should be in place for launch!
