Hey so I got this message in a bottle talking about using banana crates and to give to one of the merchants. do we need to fill all 50 slots with bananas? or can we just give it empty. it just says: give a crate of bananas to the merchant
Banana crates
@salazar-armando We did the banana crate quest but didnt get any reward for it. Is it supposed to be like that or is it a bug?
@salazar-armando I ve read some other posts that only turned in 1 chicken instead of 2 but still got a partial reward. maybe thats the case for those things too.
I had a cannonball one and had to fill it to 50. Only got 250ish gold, didnt seem worth it as cannonballs are quite handy to keep on the ship. Worth seeing if you can give it to them empty and if you still get paid. Havent had another one yet though
Edit, definately sold it to the right outpost and on time btw
@uvg-reign Ye, with the chests you need to fill, you need to fill them up completely. Otherwise the merchants will simply tell you to b****r off.
If you hand it in without the proper questing (meaning you need to have a quest and hand it in at the right place and time) you will get something between 20-50 gold. Since someone said you they got 250ish coins, that's probably the reward for them if you do the quest properly :D
Hugs 'n' kisses
Cpt. Lancia@sir-lancia I got it from a message in a bottle that was in a shipwreck. Didnt seem worth selling pretty much all my cannonballs for it though :(
@uvg-reign Good thing we learn these things in the beta :D They might change it up though if the general consensus is that it's not worth it.
Hugs 'n' kisses
Cpt. LanciaThose crates seem so damn rare, their worth is a lot more than 250g not counting the resources you put in as well. I'd keep them and use them as a way to quickly gather supplies and then store them. If the ship is in danger I can just hide the crate full of supplies, so I won't have to collect all that again on ship respawn.
@etnwill i got one from a message bottle. I had to sail to a specific outpost to pick up the crate then fill it with bananas and deliver it to a different, specified outpost.
We also got a wood crate to fill up with planks to be turned into a merchant. Cant remember where we got that quest from. ..
so yea once you have the "deliver a crate" mission you can go to any Merchant and pick up an empty crate of that type. We filled and sold a Banana crate at the proper Outpost - $200. not even worth the effort to find 50 banans considering the missions I get now earn anywhere between 1000 and 3000
@rabid67@thecolormark013 no... pretty much everything in this game is "temporary" for your game session this includes resources like cannon balls, bananas, empty crates, full crates, skulls, chests etc. you need to sell them to a merchant before you exit the game or they are lost. Every time you restart the game you will have zero bananas, cannon balls and planks in your personal inventory, and no active mission.
Missions are similar: any mission you've purchased but NOT activated stays in your "inventory" and will be there when you return... however if you quit the game in the middle of an ACTIVE mission that mission will not be there if you quit / restart.
