Is there a reason to buy items?

    Hi, just wondering if someone could provide a response to my query.

    With the items you start with, is there any advantage aside from cosmetic in terms of buying a new bucket or telescope etc? We were debating in terms of the bucket if you scoop out more or less water if you bought a better bucket?

    ie is the better bucket just a cosmetic upgrade only?

    It's cosmetic only from what we know thus far. So the only real reason is looking spiffy!

    @boost-king There is a "more grog" related benefit to owning more than one mug... but it does not matter which mug.

    Cosmetics is the horizontal progression of the game. Buying stuff and showing it is how you'll say how strong and cool you are.
