My MIC is fine in Heroes of the Storm, and the Voice Recorder App but I have yet to have anyone hear me in SoT , how do I tell if its broadcasting or when I am talking to meself ?
How do you know if your MIC is working in SoT ?

In my friends an my cases it does. We get the chat bubble and can hear each other.
Just nobody speaks.That is online gaming in many cases. It's possible that the output is set to something besides whatever your game sound is, but most likely people just aren't talking.
In SoT especially, talking just alerts people if you are sneaking up on them, so a lot of people just play muted. Personally I mute everything but proximity so people can still hear me hailing them, but use Discord to talk to my crew since it sounds much better.
The in game chat is driving me crazy. It's only worked with two crews. They can hear me but I cannot hear them. Party chat works perfectly fine. I've tried hard resetting my Xbox, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game, unplugged the mic and plugged back in. I just can't seem to make it work.
As a result I immediately get placed in the brig... has anyone fixed this issue?
@misterdoomed Maybe it has something to do with the Audio Settings?
Crew Chat Output: Speakers or Headphones
Proximity Chat Volume: 0 - 100
Proximity Chat: Directional or Non-Directional (maybe the latter is better?)
Push To Talk: Off or On (LeftAlt by default)There is a setting for Private Chat (F key and Up on the D-pad) that might also be getting in the way. I wonder if you accidently hit this private chat switch it is sticky?
This has been driving me crazy! For some reason, everyone I come across, they just won't speak! 99% of the time they will not use a mic OR the text chat. It always makes me wonder if something is wrong on my side. ...then I play with a buddy and see that it's not me.
I don't know why SoT players hate talking.

I've also had the same issues... nobody talking but I know my mic works cos I can talk to the xbox without issue.
Think I got it last thing last night when I ready something about changing the privacy settings go the mic on the Xbox which I did and it started working...
