Scale Test Launch Issue

  • I have followed all instructions on the forums however when i click play the closed beta on the store it launches for a split second then instantly closes ? Does anyone know what the problem could be ?

    One possible solution is to uninstall the Insider Hub App and reinstall it.

    If that does not help, maybe this will do it:

    Fix #1
    Login to Windows 10 with a local Microsoft Account. This fixes majority of cases reported.

    Fix #2
    Open the Windows 10 Store, then in the top right corner click on the profile picture.
    If you have multiple accounts signed in, sign out all of them but leave the email account linked to the game’s purchase signed in.
    Next, in the Windows 10 Store download any free app at all.
    Then try playing Sea of Thieves again through the Windows 10 Store “Library” page.

    Go to the below link and save / run the tool. Follow the on screen instructions to troubleshoot / fix your issue.

    Press Windows + R
    Type Powershell and hit enter
    Copy and paste the following into the powershell window and press enter

    Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

  • @pontonight If that does not work (and I hope it does work), then you should contact the support:
    Raise a ticket (it may take a while to fully load)

    Do not forget to mention all the things you have tried to do to solve the problem.

  • no lucky, reinstalled and still not working...
    I played scale test 1 without problems

    OK to solve, I re-installed (3th time) but now I choosed another HD partition and boom, worked.
    I dont know if is some registry info that game was looking for or other thing. I hope it not happen at 20/3. So I hope we have another beta test to have sure the game dont repeat this ISSUE

    Could you report your issue as a bug and give all the details you can including how you solved it? It is very possible that this will help Rare find the problem and fix it, but it does not ensure that it is solved for the next test.

    We do plan on running another beta closer to the launch of the game, where players will get a taste of the wider Sea of Thieves experience, but for now our focus is on our scale testing plans. We will have more to share on that as we get closer to launch.

  • @el-espectro-0 I did it my friend.
    Sent a ticket and they answer to me that fix #1 to #4 - not worked to me
    Installed a free app from Windows Store like netflix and - not worked to me - grey screen and close again
    So I reinstalled at same place (SSD games partition) - and didnt work again
    And my last try I reinstalled again in another HD - this one was a normal HD and worked.
    After work I sent to rare (by the ticket that was open) I hope them can understood my bad english and solve this problem to not repeat
