Girlfriend and I keep our ships bean themed so we named our first successful ship "SS Beans", second "The Chickpea" and the third was a reference to Brooklyn 99, "The Dallas Buyers Club" because Scully and Hitchcock give themselves bean codenames and call their undercover organization that without realizing it's a movie, haha.
Super lame names but I personally think if people are to recognise Capn Tonis the legendary pirate, they'll have to know my silly ship names too.

My two friends and I got a green ship 5 out of the 6 times we sailed on the last stress test I think it had an angler fish for a figurehead.
We called it stuff like "sea frog" or "frog fish"
Then one of them started a game and we got the "grog frog" cos it had mugs on the sails.In the full game the naming of the ship will come down to a vote.
Depends on if we get to decide the Figurehead from the start. I got Lions, Tankards, Mermaids, etc. during the Betas. If we get the chance to choose it, I’ll base a name off of the figurehead I choose, but some good names I’ve found for specific figureheads are,
Mermaid- Her Majesty’s Omen(Galleon); The Silent Siren(Sloop)
Lion- Mane ‘o War(Galleon); Lions’ Pride(Sloop)
K-9ish- Wailing Wolves(Galleon); DirtyDog(Sloop)Just a few that I could think of.
