So.. this is an old post, but I was wondering what people's opinions are now that the game has been out for about a month. I personally love the concept of the merchants. It's less routine, because you actually have to actively search for the specific animals. On the other hand, it's so hard since you don't always know where you can find the animals (without the online map or gps) and since your destination outpost can be camped at.
I like gold hoarders as well. Mostly with treasure maps. The riddles can be a pain! Though one of my friends loves them.
I enjoy the Order of Souls the least, because it's hard to find the spawn spot and it becomes too repetitive.
So what are your opinions on this now? And which guild is the best one for quick money making?
In all honesty everyone says the merchants but I like them the least. I am not fond of the rewards (preference of course) and the missions are such a drag to me. I like the loot of gold hoarders the best as chests just seem so satisfying to me and the map and dig mystery is fun to me. The rewards again are ok but not my favorite. Order of souls gets so painful later on with gold and plant bad guys and I totally agree about the repetitive part. The biggest argument I have is that all the "Big Islands" get there spawns in the middle so you can't easily use cannons which I am sure is the idea, but I don't like hitting a gold zombie in the water with my sword 20 times. The rewards however, are my favorite in the game by far. Also, the music for the shops for souls sounds identical to something out of Disneys Haunted Mansion ride.
