Did anyone else think only having two weapons was a little limiting? I hardly ever used my sniper rifle and just took the blunderbuss and cutlass. Also, the armory location should be moved because I definitely accidentally hit that instead of the ammo. I use PC and I can't imagine what the XBOX player struggle is in that regard.
3 Weapons Instead of 2 and Moving the Armory Box Away From the Ammo
i liked the new limitation. I found myself changing my loadout a good bit. If I was on the ship sailing from location A to B I would equip a sniper and pistol, but if i was embarking on a large island i would use a cutlass and blunderbuss.
In regards to the location, i did not have a issue with the location, but i do not think i would be opposed to moving it.
Weapons should be limited to: Cutlass, Pistol, Rifle (blunderbuss/eye of reach). And the ammunition crate NEEDS to be moved away from the armory crate. Running below deck to reload on ammo when you're in pvp then clicking the scuppering armory crate on accident because you're being shot at sucks. I could just git gud and take the time to make sure I'm clicking the ammo, or it could just be moved.
I agree, 3 weapons with the sword being a concrete, unchangeable weapon slot would be perfect. No one ever uses the rifle when on land anymore. It doesn't really promote classes, it downgrades it. This game is too simple as is, wouldn't mind if they actually increased the intensity/complexity of the combat a bit.
@red0demon0 Yes sir all true, sword should be a basic mapped to Y or whatever PC swap is, on Xbox though the 2 firearms you choose could be bound to the directional pad left and right which are unused. I do agree that as simple as the game already is, limited the weapons is not the answer, 2 is too few 4 is too much. The weapon box should be moved, nearly killed me a few times being above the ammo also I'm on my phone atm and just realized I can't go back up to fix "limited" lol... Anyways hope Rare gives us the 3 weapons as previous sessions were tried and true at that point.
@scheefinator I agree with the change to 2 but I like the fact that you can choose 2 Guns or in the future 2 melee weapons if you feel daring enough, sure the flintlock blunderbuss combo is a bit OP... until you run out of ammo! And it’s really not OP just more applicable to the combat as it currently is with the types of threats we have atm. Who knows what other things (like powder kegs) will come out of the woodworks and mix things up a bit. People who want more need to learn to pick weapon loadouts at the proper time and not rely on having 3 loaded weapons AND a stunlocking cutlass all at once to be successful. This change slows combat down and favors solo players, but dosnt take anything away from the importance of teamwork to overcome the skill advantage a solo player may have when facing them. Though the solo player would also have all 4 weapons this gives them more of a chance to reposition or reload without always being rushed by people who have no reason not to.
@generaldorttv You're not wrong, blunderbuss/cutlass is pretty much the only combo worth considering for pvp with the 2 weapon limit. I'm not really sure what the answer to that problem is, though, since it was way worse before when people could rapidly triple tap their guns.
Maybe sniper and pistol just need a buff, or maybe blunderbuss needs to be toned down a little. It IS the only portable weapon capable of one-shotting, maybe it's just too strong as is. It's hard to say what the answer to the problem is.
And yeah, the ammo box definitely needs to be moved away from the armory box, it's way too easy to accidentally hit the wrong one in the heat of battle.
