I feel like a lot of people haven't expressed there positive side for this game. The best is the social aspect because there's a lot of content in that. I like going to sloops or galleons and my friend putting on a police siren and shouting "Rare police, we need to search your ship." Creativity sparks this game a lot and people forget that. YOU have the resources to make the game fun. Rare develops the game but so do we by doing something unique. One of the slogan's for this game is "Players create their own story" that's not just some catchy slogan, you do that and you'll have a lot more fun.
You know what? I love this game.
I also love this game. You never know what you will see in your sessions and how it ends.
Some days ago we played on a sloop and dropped our anchor at an outpost next to another sloop. After 5 minutes we saw 2 other sloops coming to the outpost. They also dropped their anchor and we made music and danced on the beach. After that we went to the tavern for some grog. I will never forget this!
Another time we were sailing on a galleon and we saw 2 other galleons. We sailed to them but we didn't know they worked together. It was like Backett's death in PotC3. Maybe weird to say but I liked it to be sandwiched by 2 other ships. It was something else than a normal session.
@scheefinator I can recommend you to join smaller communities. You can learn a lot from them. There are some Discord servers by country like:
Sea of Thieves (International)
Sea of Thieves DE (Germany)
Sea of Thieves ES (Spain)
Sea of Thieves FR (France)
Sea of Thieves IT (Italy)
Sea of Thieves NL/BE (The Netherlands / Belgium)
Sea of Thieves PT/BR (Brasil)
Sea of Thieves PL (Poland)
Sea of Thieves RU (Russia)
Sea of Thieves TK (Turkey)@gulpee-rex what a glorious death, I envy you. Normally they just sink me at docks, not my idea of fun, so I ambush them to let they fire everything at me, jump onboard to find my chests and find no one because I'm already trying to put a gunpowder barrel inside their ship... I know I'm being suicidal, but hey!! I'm improving ! XD
@britishtwin-one When I first saw the trailers for this game (on xbox) I immediately felt I have to have this. Just the look of the game alone was enough to grab my attention. So I went ahead and pre-ordered it, confident that I would never regret it.
Since then, I have played the closed beta for the full amount of time it was available, and now I have played the two day stress test. So....regrets? No, not really. There are definitely some annoying aspects of the game that have been discussed to death on these forums, but all in all, this game has far too much potential to walk away from. No intentions here to cancel my pre-order. I have to believe that the developers are going to do the best they can to address these issues and make the game enjoyable for all. It may take some time. So be it.
I spent all of my time so far sailing solo. This was deliberate because I wanted to explore this world on my own terms and get a feel for the basics. During the beta, I rarely encountered other ships or players. this enabled me to get a grasp on sailing and treasure hunting. However, these last 2 days of the stress test were totally different. I encountered many, maybe far too many, other ships and players. Good luck with "community"..LOL. Without exception, every time, my ship was sunk (teasure-less) and/or I turned around only to have a pistol blow my face off. Needless to say, a different ecperience this time around.
As I was finishing off last night, I pulled into an outpost and anchored. It was a beautiful sunset. I sat down on the dock and just looked around at the beauty of this game. A gorgeous galleon was approaching so I stood up on the end of the dock and grabbed my hurdy-gurdy and played as they did a splendid job of docking. I watched as two of the crew members lept from the ship and scurried off to cash in their treasures. Another one hustled to my ship in hopes of looting (sorry mate, nothing there). At that point I turned around as a crew member approached me, I gave him a friendly wave. He returned the gesture, and then quickly shot me in the face. I immediately thought...so that's how it's going to be, eh.
I honestly can't wait for March 20.
@BritishTwin-One and all others who have posted so much positivity on this post - spread the feels my Pirate mateys, this game is so much to so many & we can always keelhaul the h8rs.
I can honestly say that the friends I have made in my (almost) 250hrs testing this game so far have been the most diverse and fun bunch of folks I have met in ANY game I have played to date. Long live the social aspect & bring on the magical and funny moments once we go live on March 20th.
#SeaofThieves #SeaofFeels #BeMorePirate ;-)@tom392 yes, that's how it's going to be. You can find everything you can find in the subway each day. Fun people and, sadly, people which is not so fun. But you can't block people for being that way. They enjoy ruining your day, just because their real life is a mess. They can't help it.
But don't be discouraged, at the same time there are so many fun and good players around, that you'll be able to enjoy this world immensely. They'll teach you many tricks, leaving you a way to teach others the same things and more. And you know, the more we'll be, the more solo players and other players won't be griefed so easily. That's upon our shoulders, and we'll manage it, you'll see!!@x-ipro-king said in You know what? I love this game.:
@waw-gunn Thanks. ❤
