Game currently loads up to the splash page and then closes back to my desktop.
Just checking is there currently an update going on or servers are down as I have had no problems prior to just now with the game during the stress test? Just wanting to confirm if its something on my end that is the issue since I haven't seen a "Beard" error or any announcement from Sot Twitter etc.

It might be because it is early morning in UK where Rare is based and they just haven't gotten out of bed yet lol.
Hoping it will be fixed soon.
@motherflame Yeah but they were talking to me in what would have been the middle of thier night so I figured it was 24 hour support. Probably swamped, I don't blame support at all.
However, never in my near 15 years of playing games on Steam have I had to go into the command line or download diagnostic software to send error reports because a game won't launch. Every single one has just worked. Probably just going to get a refund tomorrow if they can't help me sort it. Too bad, this looked pretty fun.

They did warn us that we would expect some problems with logging in and server issues during this weekend so it was to be expected. I was just concerned since I hadn't seen anyone on the forum having this issue currently and wanted to see if it wasn't just me being affected.

Just restarted my pc again and it's suddenly started working for me. Not sure if this helps, but hopefully you might get access soon then!
