Can you choose who to put in your crew, can you choose your friends to play with and how do I do this if I am playing on Microsoft pc. I have been working on setting up a crew but slow progress as most my friends cant afford games.

@crescenttide Any friends you want to add to your crew you need to be friends with over Xbox Live (through the Xbox app on PC). If you are already in a "party" with up to 4 total people, they will be your crew. There is also an Invite Friends button prompt on the Sea of Thieves menu page.
Once you have your group, they game will add you to a server and in the process try to bring your crew up to 4 people if it wasn't already. As of the beta, you could also form groups of 2 or play solo.
I think I saw something said by one of the developers or in the recent media releases that it will also allow you to restrict your group to 3 people when the game launches, but I can't confirm that as it is not how the beta worked.If you want to play in a group and don't have any friends playing currently, the game can add you to a crew. I've made a lot of new friends that way.
