How do you like to play?
You just let the game choose your zone of action or you opt for where you want to make you fortune?
As we all noticed, we have 3 different environments in our world!
In my point of view, it's like:

The Darkest, the mysterious, the monstrosity set of islands within the range of Galleons Grave and Dagger Tooth Outposts. For me, this this is more like an Indian Ocean territory.

The warmest, the brightest sands, the light blue ocean. The set of Islands within Sanctuary and Golden Sands Outposts. This resembles to me as the Pacific Ocean.

Then we have the deep blue waters, the foggiest and coldest sunsets, the Isles filled with green vegetation and tall trees. The Plunder and Ancient Spire outposts set of islands. The Atlantic Ocean.
Do you agree?
Personally, I rather choose where I want to sail.
If I enter the game with my mind set to Mermaid's Hideaway and Smugglers Bay treasures, even if I started at Ancient Spire my first move is to sail to where I want. Then at that zone I'll start my Voyage Quest.
