SoT launch party....what pirate food should I serve?

  • Alright pretty easy one here....Give me your best pirate food and beverages for a SoT launch party. Don't worry the Captain Morgan will be flowing. My goal is to make everyone in the forums hungry for some pirate snacks. Pictures do an even better job of making people hungry.

  • Hardtack for authenticity.

  • These will be served

  • Limes...you do not want to get scurvy. 😂

  • So, so far your menu you should consist of:
    -Rum
    -Hardtack
    -Bananas
    -Limes

Your guests are going to be pumped!

  • @blackbeard-lufy I will need some rum to wash them down. alt text

  • @ivorydoll well those foil covered chocolate coins in a chest - easy

Also maybe hot dogs with little sails?

  • @syrio-forel Exactly my thought process! I'm going to grab a bunch of gold coin chocolates and eat some whenever I hand in a chest!

  • @syrio-forel crazy enough I had those at my wedding reception. I even had a treasure chest with barnacles, some fishing net, and some lanterns. Guess I was always meant to be a pirate.

  • captain morgan's is c**p, oversweet hangover fuel. Drink The Kraken, or Sailor Jerry, kthxbai

  • @kruqnut I'd rather have Captain in me than a Kraken in me.

  • Great for party menus or props. Personally I like to add some burn marks using a lighter to make it look super rustic before dipping it in the tea or coffee.

  • Nothing more enjoyable then some freshly caught shrimp.

  • @munchy-ham great idea I love it!

  • @doctorviolet3 shrimp cocktail it is, great idea.

  • This is another one I'll try.

  • @syrio-forel glad someone said this

  • Was gonna suggest fish sticks but idk how piratey fried fish would really be. X'D

  • If you can find them, Fried Conch with a rum-based mango chutney is delicious. If you live inland, they get more expensive and harder to acquire. Not exactly 'piratey' but it's definitely a carribean-style food.

  • @doctorviolet3 how about some fish and chips then 😜

  • @shadowstrider-7 that sounds delicious, I think it might be out of my league cooking wise.

  • @ivorydoll It's actually not as bad as it sounds. You would need to season, batter and fry the conch. The hardest (most tedious) part is preparing the chutney, but it's not hard at all!

  • Tacos. Everyone loves tacos.

  • @ivorydoll If you're feeling super adventurous, you could prepare some Baby Kraken, though it looks as if it requires a bit more effort!

  • All this talk of seafood and rum is making me hungry for some seafood and non-alcoholic cream soda. owo

  • Clams! or Oysters?

  • @shadowstrider-7 I do like that seafood salad with octopus they serve at sushi restaurants. But if I thought the chutney was out of my league this is for sure.

  • @ivorydoll Haha, mine too and I cook for a living!

  • @shadowstrider-7 that is why you have such delicious suggestions. I should hire you to come and cook for my party.

Not a fan of clams or oysters....but I do like pearls.

  • Shark Fin steak. Illegally delicious.

  • @IvoryDoll Serve bananas but make people eat them with a peel on!

  • Some TortugaTomatoes

    Some TortugaTomatos

What is that? Google seems unable to find an example or maybe @ShadowStrider-7 knows
