So I had a good laugh with my buddy’s stealing others treasure by first jumping on there boat, then throwing a bucket off puke in there face to blind them and get the kill. But we decided to try to sneak on a boat that was docked and keep dumping buckets of water on board to sink it just to find out this does not work. Kinda upsetting lol

@the-zagan It should, considering you can sink your own with buckets of water. That's disappointing!
As far as I know, it seems to be rather a problem with the water depth. When really close to shore, the ship might not have a way to sink any deeper into the water. So it stays where it is and just does not sink.
@lonegoatknifer It does not always move out deeper, I grounded a ship and dropped anchor and then proceeded to scuttle the ship and it would not go deeper like it normally would because it could not fill with water.
Normally it does.
The problem is: When the water is not deep enough, to get the boat into the "sinking" state, it will NOT move out to deeper water but just stay in the current state. Even though water could be coming in, as the ships is held up by the shore, it does not. It is pretty much stranded.
Dont know if its a bug or a feature but it is somewhat realistic
