It would mean more grind and more frustration for people like me with jobs and family. I only have time at weekends nights and so does my friends.
I don't want to invest my life into games. There are so many heavily progression games out there and many to come in the future (Monster Hunter World for example).
Don't change a game with a different approach into something you would like to have.
It's ideal for casual gamers, log in and have a blast time. Don't fear that there are stronger ships out there, only more experienced crews. That's exactly what they told from the beginning and what attracted me to the game. Skillbased gaming like in the old days.
You could have informed yourselfs earlier about what this game is about and what you can expect. So trying to change things would mean a big kick in the nuts to all people expecting exactly what was promised.
As for the same reasons I don't play games like COD because I hate to lose to some overpowered pearks while I'm on a lower lvl. There are games out there for everyone, and having a varity of games is healty for all of us. No one is forced to play a game they don't like.
