Whilst sailing the open seas with my mates, we came across a galleon who had a Glowing Skeleton Crewman!!!!! Anyone else run into him?!

@Valimore I don't think I ran into him, but I'll tell you what I did see.
We were coming up on another galleon and I was watching them with my spyglass. Just as we were coming into render distance for players, I was able to see some of the crew on the other galleon 'pop' into existence on their main deck next to the cannons. For a brief second when they 'popped' in, they were a glowing skeleton before turning into the normal character model.

Once when I died and the game was lagging during the server issues, two other people on the Ferry of the Damned were skeletons, before becoming the ghost versions of their characters.
It would seem our characters actually have a skeleton model under the skin. Not sure what that might mean but that's my encounter with it.
It was already approved somewhere that this happens when the character didn't load in properly.
This doesn't change anything on the hitbox, afaik.Also this thread is 6 months old, it shouldn't be revived/necroed/bumped:

It was cool and first but now I’ve started to earn more money and buy more clothes it’s annoying because there just pointless purchases. Sometimes I won’t spawn as the skeleton but I won’t be able to equip any clothes and then when I die I turn into the skeleton? It’s pretty annoying and I wish there is a way to change it??!
@valimore I realised that when you respawn, your crewmates who respawned are green, then when they remove their clothes than add it back again, they are back to normal, I don't know why but that is what happened to me.
