Your crew are the only people that should be allowed to touch anything on your boat, except for chests and loot of course. Just to prevent anyone from stealing your boat. We've had our boat stolen a couple times, and then they just steal your boat and spawn kill you every time. It's pointless. Just straight up trolling. I don't know what everyone else's thoughts are on this. Just wanted to give my feedback.

@tayred I've never had a boat stolen, but I take steps to ensure that as it's always in the back of my mind. Make sure you always park with sails/anchor up, and your ship pointing in an unobstructed direction.
While on an island occasionally take a second to get to a high point to look around for other ships. If you see one take note of its direction, if it's coming at you sprint back to your ship, drop sails and off you go.
Ive commandeered a few ships but its always been sloops and the situation arises because im without a ship for whatever reason and it happens to be sitting there. I think out of the numerous times ive done it onyl one person has ever been hostile about it because I tend to use it as a taxi haha. I seem to have a habit of "borrowing" peoples sloops in the heat of a battle haha
