I don't know if there are plans for full-text chat to be implemented, but it would greatly enhance my experience with the game. I deal with year-long allergies, which make it either very difficult to speak or nearly impossible to do so. Full-text chat would allow for more efficient communication, as well as pirate puns, without the need for verbal communication. Also, If I've heard correctly, I believe Xbox One is receiving keyboard and mouse support? The chat wheel, while helpful, doesn't match the convenience of a full-text chat.

@musicmee That post was completely untrue. I have been playing for a week now and have never seen any option to text chat with anyone on the game! There is no text chat option for xbox one and none came out for it's release!
