Hi, I played sea of thieves for the first time this weekend and I joined a crew of 4... I joined and tried talking to them but no one was talking back. There seemed to be a captain of the boat and I was following him around for a while just while learning the controls. Clearly the logical thing in his mind was putting me in a jail cell somehow and didn’t let me out. I decided this is probably something to do with friends only but none of my friends have windows 10 so I took off on my own boat.
The controls were easy to get the hang of so I got my first voyage and searched the map, Found the island and then finally arrived.
A few seconds later a two man ship pulls up, silly me thinking they would be friends started jumping up and down. They both disembarked and then killed me.
I thought this would be a one time thing so I continued. I spawned a few steps away from where my ship was and then was killed again. After waiting for the white screen to finally go away I went to the mermaid and returned to ship. Thinking the worst was over. Sure enough I spawned at the nearest island? I can’t quite remember. The same guys started following me! Long story short I was followed and killed about three more times being chased and killed.
Are there any ‘Safe zones’ Or a way to play the game alone? It was a great experience exploring islands looking for treasure.
