I don't know how much players will be able to join the same server once the game will be released.
However, if the number is high enough, we could have a progression counter in which a crew really ahead in terms of voyages & chapters could claim the title of "The king of all the Pirates".
This could be an added PvP Feature with a bounty on this crew and a special customized ship.
This could also be the opportunity to have an unique bigger boat, with like a 10 (or 8) man crew, gathered from your defeated enemies.
