So yesterday me and a friend went on a lvl 10 voyage. After solving all the riddles and maps we got a mighty 7 chests of loot.
We decided to hand them in at the closest outpost. We did hand in 4 chests first to discover we didn't get any gold in return.
After we noticed we decided to go back to our initial outpost where we picked up the voyage. However, handing in the chests over there didn't make any difference.
PS. It's not clear to me where to submit bug reports. Is this the right place?

This is a good place to report a bug, just so the community are aware... but you also need to submit one officially using the link below. The issue you are having IS usually down to server load though, so that may be causing you a few issues.

I had this issue yesterday as well, no gold or progression for handing in chests. Although the server did catch up an hour or so later & started giving me the gold & xp when i was just sitting on a rock watching a ship battle in the distance!
@musicmee Ahh I did visit the page. However, it seems that with firefox I am unable to raise a ticket. Used Edge now..(eek) and I'm able to raise a bug :)
I experienced this as well, but for me, it seemed to be just a UI bug. That is, it didn't show up in the top-right as normal, but if I went to the gold hoarder my gold balance seemed to increase.
It's possible that my game session was ahead of the voyage data on the server and when that caught up, the balance did as well. But for a couple minutes it was quite alarming.
Definitely something to look into, I think.
I'm having the same problem somehow I lost about 2k gold and when I turned in my last 3 chests I saw only 1 pop for 161 gold no xp, but I still have 0 go l d in my inventory which is a problem since I'm level 7.
So it looks like the stress test is going well. I mean that is why we're here.
Yes I have tried logging and going to stores but no gold but also no worries.
So all this happened to me again on Saturday. If the devs want to try and look at logging, here's what I know (all times are eastern US):
2:13pm - had 3997 gold, turned in 2x golden chickens. Had no change in gold on my client for over an hour.
3:30pm - had 4184 gold (apparently the 2x golden chickens were worth 187 gold). Turned in 2 captains chests, 1 marauders chest. No change in gold for the next few hours.
After that time, I attempted to buy a jacket from the merchant -- I never got the jacket. I tried to buy it again (as I still had gold), but it wouldn't let me. So... the game seemed to have taken the gold, but didn't deliver the item or update the fact that it sold it to me.
I eventually quit the game (still have to alt+f4 to quit) and logged back in. I then had the jacket and my gold was decreased.
This is STILL an issue... with 10 days left to go, getting gold from voyages still doesn't work correctly. It seems pretty obvious that the client is NOT getting timely updates from the server. This is going to cause an extreme amount of confusion and player rage at launch.
Rare ya scurvy dogs. Meself don’t work for free. Me’s just completed the Gold Hoarders first 2 quests and me’s didn’t get paid. Savey! Somethings afoot you bilge rats! Pays me and pays me well or face the end of my blade. Hopefully, it won’t come to that and we can come to an accord.

I also had the same issue come up, spent 2-3 hours foraging chests and finished the boss island got all the loot, went to turn in and got 0 gold 0 exp from any of it didnt even show up that we recieved any gold, and now its showing the gold that i get but after it goes up it subtracts all back but i am recieving exp.? whats goin on feels like im just wasting my time doing stuff to recieve no reward? kind of a buzz kill? way to fix this?
