FIX For Cyanbeard every 15 Minutes - 1 Hour of Playing!

    I had this problem since last year, but it seems I finally found a fix for it.
    Tagging @Xyro69 as you had the same problem.

    1. Step
      Go to window settings, then Games (Xbox symbol) then Xbox-Network and wait for it to show the "Xbox Live Multiplayer" Stuff

    2. Step
      If you had the same problem as me it should show something like "not able to qualify" or "blocked"
      There should be some links showing up with Xbox Troubleshooting guides, I recommend going through them first as they might fix the issue. They didn't for me

    3. Step
      Check whether Teredo Filter is enabled in your Router.
      I can only speak for Fritz Box, but you should find a guide for your router on the internet, too.
      First, log in to your Fritz.Box by typing "fritz.box" in your browser search bar
      Log in
      Click the 3 dots in the top right and enabled "advanced Mode" or something like that
      Go to Internet, then Filters then lists
      Scroll down till you find something with "Teredo Filter"
      Uncheck it
      Save

    These steps finally solved the problem for me and I hope they can help some of you out

  • I had the same problem. In my case it fixed the issue with turning ipv6 off in the router settings. Hope I could help someone!

  • I still have that problem and no matter what I do, I can't play.
    When I turn off my Firewall (panda antivirus pro) , than I have a connection, and could "possibly" play, but when I join the game, I lose the connection and Teredo is blocked again.
    I really don't know why and it makes me crazy, because I want to play it. :(

    I had the issue during beta and now during the release, back then i thought it might be a bug to be fixed til release.

    Since it is a connection loss to the XBOX live services i assume that the problem is with the Microsoft servers in my region.

    I tried reinstalling windows resetting my router settings and following all the tutorials on how to open the xbox NAT settings to "open" (Tereodo, port forwarding etc.) without luck.
    If there are any other tips on how to fix this available, please share.

    Hopefully there will be a fix soon since it is just not playable like this :-(

  • I got it!
    My antivirus program blocked it. I uninstalled it and now I have a stable connection. Now I can play without problems. :D

  • i'm using malwarebytes soo do i need to unistall my antivirus ?

  • @wilfulsinger76 disable IPV6 in ur Fritz.box

  • Sorry, but disabling Teredo doesn't help in my case. I still get the Cyanbeard error from time to time. Are there any other solutions for this. I'm loosing all my progress when I'm alone in the game with this error..
