Signing in on wrong account

  • Ok so on the Beta it keeps logging me in on Dr Watson uk, which is an account I don't use and haven't used for a long time. What I want it to do is log me in on my active account Starbuck Viper. But I can't find an option to log out in the game so I can log in with the active account.

    I have cleared browser cach, signed out of xbox.com + windows store and these forums but nothing seems to work. I don't want to use the Dr Watson uk account, I want to use the Starbuck Viper account.

    Any ideas?

  • @starbuck-viper You might find you need to check the account with which you are signed in with the Insider Hub and Store and try and log in with the details for Starbuck, however, I think also you'd need to download the game again, if you have access on this one as well.

  • @triheadedmonkey i can log into the game no problem, but its logging me into the Dr Watson uk account and not the Starbuck Viper account - I'm trying to find a log out button on the game but I can't seem to find it.

  • @starbuck-viper Looking at problems many people have just getting in, many will think you lucky to actually be in.. I think everything is linked to an xbox gamertag, so the beta will be linked to the account you registered on or pre-ordered on....don't think you can change this now...

  • @katttruewalker I've tried all that as well. Uninstalled the game, logged out on the store - I wasn't logged into the hub at this point. And then after I redownloaded it I did not get an option to log into anything else. The game just logged me into Dr Watson uk. :(

  • @bulletbill153 I pre ordered at Game to get the black dog pack. I redeemed on the email I used alot (which just happens to be the Dr Watson uk account). Then I realised that it was the wrong one when I got into the game so I went back to the shop and preordered the game again to get another Black dog pack and I redeemed that on the Starbuck Viper account ,so both accounts have access to the Beta. But I am unable to log into the Starbuck Viper one ingame.

  • @starbuck-viper are you on Xbox or PC? The Xbox has/had an option to change account on the main menu but I can't see on for PC

  • @starbuck-viper have you tried....

    1. go to your add/remove programs list, clicking on all the xbox related ones (xbox, xbox live, xbox insider etc) and on each one clicking advanced options, reset.
    2. then open the Xbox app and signing in?
    3. can always try signing out of the Windows store and signing back in with the other account (possibly run 'wsreset' too?)

    not a guarantee but might be worth a try

  • @triheadedmonkey I didn't realise that there was an Xbox app on my pc (only recently upgraded to Win10). It was signed into the Dr Watson uk account, have signed out and now I am able to sign into the Starbuck Viper account ingame.

  • I have a similar issue. Except I am logged in a different account on my Xbox app on PC and I am unable to login as that account on seaofthieves.com. Every time I log out and try to log back in, it automatically logs me back in as my old account. I have done everything that has been discussed in this thread. What can I do to solve this?
