"The Sea of Thieves services are temporarily unavailable"

  • So, I have a PC and Laptop, both with Win 10 updated. So, I can run Sea of Thieves in both (not at same time, obviusly) but the difference is that in my PC works perfect but on the laptop, I never pass the "Conecting to bridge services" step. Someone knows what's happening?

    Attached screenshot of the error.

  • @kaiserg24 You have luck my game won't launch at all see game window for sec and nothing....

  • @tannerbaker3537

Did the "too early" message appears to you?

  • @kaiserg24 No only window with game for one second

  • @tannerbaker3537

    Same here. Gutted.

    :(

  • @tannerbaker3537 Did you fit the minimum requirements?

  • @kaiserg24 Yup i5-8400 16 GB DDR4 GTX 1080 Windows 10 64bit

  • @tannerbaker3537 Jesus, we have almost the same setup (on my PC) are you in the insider xbox app? Did you tried to reinstall? Try going to app installed and click on restore or similar. I attach you a sc (in spanish, but menus are the same).

  • Don't think unninstaling will help.
I was able to play yesterday, this feels like something server side.

  • @thelastsonof Oh I think you can't play since the beta starts, then it could be, yep. But if you wanna feel sure can do something with your client. What can you lose if you can't play instead? If I can help you, just tell me.

  • @kaiserg24 Yeah, installing now.

Just doesn't feel client related. I'll try everything though.

This beta hasn't ran smoothly at all though. But the game seems really fun.

  • @thelastsonof I played yesterday with a british guy and I had more fun in the two hours with him than a 11 years in World of Warcraft for sure.

  • @kaiserg24 Haven't had a decent co-op experience yet - mostly because of small play time, but last night was pretty fun solloing a Galleon.

    Vanilla Wow ruled.

    Reinstall worked. Well done @KaiserG24

  • @thelastsonof =D I'm so glad that helped you! Enjoy dude and sail free!

  • Nothing seems work for my laptop. It get stuck on the "Connecting to service bridge"... and then the message error.
Things I tried: Reinstall, Firewall disabled, 2 different networks (I thought was a ports issue or similar) created another local account with my Microsoft account linked... nothing seems work.

  • PC Win 10 here. I get the same error, but says "lavenderbeard" instead...
Tech Alpha went perfect, can't play the Beta.

I reinstalled 2 times but it reads "Alpha", is it normal? It says "Closed Beta" in the hub though

  • @Rod-Locksley Lavenderbeard
Can be caused by Anti Virus/Firewall settings, but can also be caused by proxy servers and other network management manipulation / tools.

    @KaiserG24 DaffodilBeard
Something has happened on our side that we're working to fix. Please check the status of the game at seaofthieves.com for more information.

  • @triheadedmonkey Oh, thanks for the answer! Still, I know what lavender means and I've read that post before, but it doesn't make sense as it says the services are not available (should say daffodil at least). Anyways, I double checked it and there's nothing wrong with the firewall or antivirus.

Besides, it worked fine in Tech Alpha. No changes on my side, so...

  • @rod-locksley Can be Win Defender or SmartScreen? Sometimes those blocks some ports or network protocols. Are you and administrator user on your PC?

  • @triheadedmonkey Yeah I read it before, but what can I do? Just wait?
