    Has there been talk about an open beta between closed beta and launch?

    @capndewarpigott There hasn't, there's a strong feeling there will not be an open beta Only a closed beta for those that preordered and were Insiders before December 1st.

    This is all speculation though.

    @shin-dragos Jan 24th is the Closed Beta, there hasn’t been any information release about Open Beta just yet.

    they have the time to do a open beta its just if they think its a smart thing to help market the game to build hype or not i guess

    They would benefit greatly by having a open beta, stress the servers, almost certainly gain and get addicted many new crew members. 2 Months is a very long time to wait in between, a lot of testing can be done in that time frame why waste it.

    @madame-ching This is what the pioneer program is for. Also the closed beta will stress the servers plenty.

    2 months may be for some a 'very long time to wait' but it is flash in terms of dev time especially this close to launch.

    Pretty sure not having one would be a huge mistake.

    Pretty much nobody who hasn't played the game is very impressed right now.

    Can't say I blame them, so far all I've seen are videos that did a pretty poor job showcasing the game.

    @liquickmetal very true I mean the closed beta ends on the 29th. So the Devs will literally only have 50 days after the beta ends to fix any problems found.

    If they don't have an open beta, It will ensure that the game holds more secrets and make more people excited to wait for launch...

    Guess the pioneers couldn't handle this one lol 6000 does make a stress test.

    The announcement for the stress test confirmed that there will be another beta along with the stress test before March 20th

    @mrdestiny17 I need some help fellow pirates - I'm on Xbox pre-ordered the game but miss beta launch and now want to try the test build happening soon - how can I upload the game onto Xbox? I'm really confused - any help appreciated

    @mintwalnut63059 I had the "Too Early" message for Wednesday/Thursday. What I did was cancel my preorder through the microsoft store, then preordered digitally through amazon. Amazon sent me a code to download the game and I entered it in my xbox in the "Redeem a Code" section, restarted my xbox once it was downloaded and it let me play. I hope it works for you but as a warning, the stress test notes say that playing the stress test will not be steady, as they are pushing the limits of the server in terms of seeing how many players can play at once and purposely crashing the server to see how fast they can recover.

    @mintwalnut63059 if you pre ordered you should have received a code I believe. You can then down load the beta. That’s how I got it. Good luck matey

    @shadowstrider-7 yes retailer here in Australia - tried to message them but no answer back. Maybe I need to bring out the sword next time
