1: Does the storm love to different parts of the map?
2: do the big waves flood the ship slowly?
I have 2 questions about the storm...
-1. I don’t know if the storm loves different parts of the map. But yes it moves around.
-2. The storm can slowly fill up your ship with water. But also your ship slowly takes damage over time while in the storm. You need to pay attention to not only repairing holes on the ship, but also bailing water.
This is only what I have picked up from watching videos and the forums. But I’m sure the forums ALPHA players could help answer this more then me.

(start somewhere at 1:40)In the Alpha the first Storms that hit me sunk my ship merciless and i had no idea why.
I was busy steering my ship through that Nightmare and never watched down in the Brick where the Water was flooding in from several holes. The rain does his best to fill my ship up as well.
When I saw the Water climbing the Stairs it was already to late and me and my crew drowned horribly.
Losing is fun :DThe storms will affect how your ship acts, not just by flooding or damaging it as well.
If you're in a particularly strong storm your ship will have some increased difficulty with movement and speed. It can be compensated, however it might be a bit tricky if you're not used to the storm aspect of the game.
Also the lightning strikes will indeed damage your ship as well as your player up the the point that you can be zapped off your ship and into the waters. This feature happened to me personally while I was sailing a vessel by myself...nothing like seeing your ship sail away unmanned from you while your desperately searching for a mermaid to get you back
@residentapple12 I hope so! That would be awesome. I love the consept of them already. Now we just have to wait and see if they take it to the level or so. (The perfect storm/wave. Hurricane maybe? Who knows! : )
