In the alpha, the treasure was sometimes challenging to locate based on the map indicator, but at the same time it felt that you didn't need to be super-precise to hit the chest with your shovel. I think that Rare found that sweet spot in terms of the treasure hitbox size that would prevent frustration while at the same time not making it too easy.
However I am just curious if anyone did a deeper dive on this? How far off can you really be from the mark and still hit the chest?
