So do you plan to Roleplay a pirate character?

Aye, I be unsure what ye' mean by basin' mesel' off a character, But I sure as Davey be enjoyin' mesel' on the open sea.

I be a pirate. What be this 'role playing' of which ye speak. Is it similar to me playing a civilian from ol' england when I talk on these....chatter pages? Or for ums as ye landlubbers name them.

I guess we wouldn't need to talk the typical YAR me matey style of talk we could just create our own thing up but honestly I can't wait to run into a player on voice who goes ALL out with the entire crew playing along lol

@makuren Like that landlubber that got into the role in Battlefield.

you should totally do that idea it sounds hilarious, I'm all for that IMAGINE running into your crew randomly with everyone playing their role lol

@zombie-p1ague I need to work on dropping in and out of character....voice wise. RP'ing as the most inept sailor to sail the seven seas just comes naturally. No idea why. lol

@wargrym Yeah, I feel like if you're doing a voice and people hear you do it, it sort of sends an on switch to their head and makes them want to join in, even if it is really silly as long as they are trying it'll be fun..its all on the fly improv sort of thing

@ajm123 Ya gotta love upping the RP for the guy who says that. Just to make his day ;). The harder they resist the more you reach for your Bafta/Oscar material. lol

Playing with people who roleplay (or even with a single person doing it) is a whole lot of fun :) Especially when they're really sinking in to the character and playing through it. I remember some of my Star Trek VR games with everyone playing as some over the top character and letting chaos reign :)

@lotuk I loved watching people stream that when they REALLY got into it. If you ever go to twitch and find old vlogs of ppl like BurkeBlack (very apt for this game too) or Bikeman, give them a watch. Their ST streams were beyond funny.

@wargrym I feel like Classypax/Mrmoonhouse/wish will be fantastic in this game when they all crew up it'll be entertainment for hours.

I also feel one of the reasons GTA is on the top of twitch all the time is because of the good RP community making it thrive through the RP mod.

The thing I love about Sea of thieves is there is no server so you're always going to meet new people they won't be the same group of people all the time, and it also prevents stream sniping too.

Audibly talking to strangers online has never been my favorite, so roleplaying might be a stretch, unless I'm playing with friends. We'll see.

As for the look of my pirate, I'm wanting to be a mix of Walt Whitman and Don Quixote (I'll be an aged mariner/sea-bard). Not sure what voice he would have, though.

@bedgroover72 Yeah I have he(taboo ) was actually what i wrote in before i posted this but i erased it for some reason, it's hard not to totally bootleg the voices i want to kind of infuse all those characters together and make a memorable experience for anyone that might randomly encounter me or my crew (i'll probably need a crew of people to do this with lol)
