Rare, I have dedicated over 1000 hours into the game. got closer with my friends and had a great time. we mainly do hourglass, it was great when we did not run into the same player every other fight.
This won't happen if the numbers were higher.
your now properly thinking "Squid it is not that easy" but it is . all you need to do is Listen to your creators and twitch partners and the players. see what is annoying them and find a way to fix it, see what they want, then find a way to fix it

So in short: You play only Hourglass in a Open World, Online game and dislike when other players looking for PvP decide to join in on the PvP....
@burnbacon I think he means that he got matched with the same players multiple times nowadays and that wasn't the case earlier, i don't think he was talking about 3rd partying.
@cpt-d-squid I who has 4000 hours in game and play HG everyday don't have the issues you see about running into the same players. I see the same people daily but it's the same HG community that plays and it's normally 1 match each time. Are you real high levels or are you just starting out? Are you on PC or console and are you all playing on controller only servers? Also do you have matchmaking set to cross region turned on or off? All that makes a huge difference in who you play with.
