When they first announced the reset, I thought it was a stupid idea on the face of it. I decided to withhold my judgement until I got to see how it actually worked in practice. It is BAD. Plain and simple. Rare, I do not know who in the dev team managed to convince you that this was a good idea but they were wrong on a grand scale. To be fair, Im not salty that you took my doubloons, Im upset that the system you put in place to replace the old system is absolutely dog water. Capping Doubloons at 4000 is just stupid and unnecessary. Only giving each player three doubloon quests and then locking people out of getting doubloons from them after three have been sold is even worse. Its stupid and this system as it stands right now is just punishing to the players. Its not rewarding at all. This, combined with the absolute trash that is going to be an empty season 20 for those of us that will NEVER use custom seas(I am not a creator and as such have little to no use for it), really give off the impression that you actively dislike your playerbase. I know you may have had good intentions but I swear if I have to listen to that guy say that they missed the mark on this I will be furious. I dont want to hear that you missed the mark. I want you to fix it.

I completely agree with you. The cap is just unnecessary because of the voyages. outside of that it's not so bad.
yea i just did my first challenge thing for the weekend. the game said i got doubloons but i was never even actually given them. because its not bad enough that i could have just bought the few cosmetics i wanted if they didnt delete my hard earned doubloons but now this ugly stupid cap, the fact that stuff isnt rewarding l ike its supposed to. everything about this is just beyond stupid. I think it's been a good strategy to encourage folk to do these tasks.
If no reset no compulsion to engage.Has there been any comms on the doubloon reset not working correctly? I got less than a 100 for season progress and yer sposed to get 200 odd?
(Edit : nvm I spent all my doubloons prior to reset - bad move in hindsight.)
