Spitballing just cause.
Fix [Won in Battle]
Originally, it was used so that Athena's Flags can be sold to Athena, but this may have changed at some point. Even with auto-Flag raising in HG, there is still the chance that someone is flying other colors (often it's Guild). Winning against 'em as Guardians awards you with Allegiance and a sad feeling that you should be running Servants instead because this bonus flag is useless to you in your quest to look like a walking glowstick.
To restore [Won in Battle] to its original purpose (and because it was left out of the recent changes), it would be helpful if:
- it was applied to Flags obtained from ships sunk due to the Circle.
- it was applied to any Emissaries in HG (adding GH, OoS, MA, HC, Guild)
- it was applied to all Flags ON a ship sunk participating in a Battle AND that [Won in Battle] can override (Yours). (Can drop second half, as could lead to farming flags by trading them between ships)
Auto-raise (if applicable)
For a brief period in Insiders, it was possible for the Hourglass to choose a randomly available Emissary Flag if the Faction's Company's flag isn't available. Bring it back! It's quite silly and it lets players who aren't Pirate Legend fighting for the Pirate Lord represent one of the Trading Companies instead. The Reaper's Emissary is available from the get-go, so this mostly pertains to Guardians.
Reclaiming (Yours)
The Blade of Souls has a "redemption" mechanic where if the crew captaining the Blade sinks and manages to reclaim the Sword, they can turn it in at the Hideout for around half of the full amount if they sold normally. Basically, just take this and put it on Emissary Flags (Yours). So winning back your recovered flag rewards something for your efforts. Lowering the normal way would still be worth more or the same depending on how it's tweaked.
Notes:
- Reaper commendations related to the Trading Company Hats are unaffected by this, as (Yours) still acts as it does now with Reapers, even if you were flying Reapers.
- Grade I Flags sold this way are worth either nothing (as lowering gives you nothing and to prevent farming one singular gold piece for free), or one gold.
- The [Won in Battle] override from earlier should make it so (Yours) doesn't appear in HG
Hunter's Call Emissary Quest
Sadly, still lost at sea to this day. It could be:
- a piece of paper telling you what the active Ancient Meg. is on the server
- The Menu. Yeah that's right, the Menu. From Festival of Fishing.
- a bunch of Fishing Maps for nearby islands
- a Boar / Meg Hunt that offers (more) Grizly and (voyage-possible) Pristine items and other goodies
- a map to a "fishing spot" (marked by a brazier similar to what Belle uses to get around) where Rare regional fish are more likely to be found
- alternatively, a map to a "fishing spot" (marked by floating trash) where you could get plunder
