Hopefully now that Custom Seas is coming out though, the moderators can stop spamming people with this "SHARED WORLD" intention stuff. Clearly that's not as important as it's supposed to be if we're adding a THIRD break in the playerbase.
@xdreegan custom seas is completely different way to play, its like Halo Forge mode.
And nothing can be earned in custom seas

But neither of those points were my point. If the population of the seas is a complaint, and the "intention" of Sea of Thieves is to be a shared world, you just added yet ANOTHER way for players to break off. They're talking out of both sides of their mouth with this.

Custom Seas is a bad idea. This will be giving players to much power. it’s to late to take it back now though.

Please elaborate why thats a "bad" thing.
@dermasterbob This will end up spoiling the community, turning it into a “Roblox” sort of format. Take “Fortnite” in for example…High Sea may even be outta business by this decision.

Thats very unlikely.
Sure it'll be fun to mess around, but you cant earn gold, reputation, or commendation progress in there.
People will still want to earn cosmetics they dont own yet and considering that the new pass will then have better rewards and a pretty cool sword as the end goal, will make sure that most players hop into high seas, to unlock them right away.
The only people that you won't find on normal servers anymore, will be sot shotters, tdmers and others that do small events.
So overall people that dont contribute to the standard adventure gameplay.
Everyone else will hop in there to mess around every now and then, before or after high seas or safer seas sessions.
@xdreegan the shared sea discussion is how real progression is earned, safer seas is limited in progression because it is not the full shared sandbox experience.
Custom seas has 0 progression because while it is a shared sandbox you basically have “creative” powers.
Their not talking from both sides of their mouths its you trying to shoehorn/strawman a discussion into something it doesnt belong

I heard about custom servers being free and that's a pretty decent idea.
Supposedly Safer Seas fleets (multiple ships in Safer) is going to be a thing too?
The second part almost has me ready to reinstall. I'd enjoy derping around with my kids on solo galleons 😁
I'm just wondering what monkey's paw bs is going to get shoved in with either option 🤔
